Great new beers for the weekend
Greetings,
As part of our ongoing effort to make available to you the finest craft beers from all over the world, we would like to detail a couple of new brews that came in this month. Drumroll please...
Goose Island Pere Jacques- This is a Belgian style dubbel from Chicago’s Goose Island brewery. The pour on this is a murky mahogany color with a small but dense beige head that lingers. Dark fruit and bready malt aromas dominate the nose with hints of caramel and Belgian yeast as well. Dark fruits and caramel are present on the palate alongside buttered sweet bread and the yeast gives it a slightly sour finish. Medium light carbonation and a little light bodied for the style but it makes it go down easy. 8% abv 26 IBUs
Was- $7.99 Email- $6.99 22oz
Funkwerks Tropic King Saison- Funkwerks is definitely a brewery on the rise in the sea of local breweries that we are fortunate to have here in Colorado, and this beer is a great representation of why! This one pours a nice cloudy golden orange color with a large white head. A rush of citrusy fruit and spice aromas hit you with a bit of sweet malt and sour funk as well. On the palate you get moderate levels of lemon, passion fruit and peach alongside touches of pepper, ginger and a slight sourness. The body is medium while the carbonation is medium heavy. This is a very nice refreshing brew! 7.5% abv
Was- $9.99 Email- $8.99 750ml
