Great Weekend Beer Specials!

Greetings,

Here you will find some extra detail about a couple of beers that are featured on our E-Mail Beer List. These beers can be found by our "warm bomber" shelf in the south east corner of Argonaut Wine and Liquor. Read on for more information:

Stone Arrogant Bastard- Stone is definitely high on the list for setting standards in American brewing. If you haven’t had it yet, Arrogant Bastard is a very hoppy American Strong Ale. It pours a dark copper color with about a two finger off white head. The nose is full of piney slightly citrusy hops, caramel malts and a bit of alcohol underlying. The palate follows suit pretty identically. It is a bit more balanced than the nose would lead you to believe though. It is medium in body and carbonation with a resinous mouth feel of a DIPA. Are you worthy?

Trappistes Rochefort 8- Brasserie de Rochefort is one of seven authentic Trappist breweries in the world. All of the beers they produce are definitely exceptional! The 8 is their Belgian Dubbel offering. It pours a ruby brown color with a large foamy tan head. Aromas of toffee, brown sugar, hints of banana and clove as well as bready yeast all fill the nose married nicely. On the palate the bready yeast comes through more prevalent but still does not over power the other flavors aforementioned. You also get a bit of plum and raisin in there. The body is medium heavy with medium carbonation and a smooth mouth feel. 9.2% abv 22 IBUs
