Sporting a deep garnet-purple color, the 2019 Tour Bayard strides confidently out of the glass with reassuring, classic notes of warm plums, clove oil, baked blackberries and Morello cherries plus camphor and Indian spice nuances. The palate has an ambitious, sturdy frame of chewy tannins and loads of freshness supporting the muscular blue and black fruits, finishing on a lingering mineral note.

The 2019 Tour Bayard is a gorgeous wine that balances the natural intensity of the year with more nuanced savory accents that lend complexity as well as nuance. Dried flowers, tobacco, mint, iron, licorice and cedar are all laced together in a Right Bank wine of notable distinction.

Beautifully ripe red and black cherries as well as spice, leafy tobacco, and cedar emerge from the 2019 Château Tour Bayard, and it's medium-bodied, nicely balanced, and already delicious. It's another rock-solid wine from this estate that will keep for a decade.
