Avery - Perzik Peach Saison

A returning seasonal for the summer. This Saison walks the line between fruity and farmy. The pour is a hazy golden color with a crisp and moderate white head. Belgian yeasts amplify the fruity and estery aromas of the nose. The body is crisp with carbonation playing a large part in the mouthfeel. Light body that leads into wonderful flavors on the palate. The peach adjunct is present without overwhelming the other saison traits. A refreshing summertime beer.

Southern Tier - Lemon Drop Sun Wheat Beer
You may have thrown an orange slice into a Blue Moon or similar wheat beers, but Southern Tier makes a case for this lemon adjunct. Hazy and straw colored on the pour. The nose has some spicy clove notes and a strong lemon presence. The mouthfeel has a moderate weight and feel mostly from the wheat. The flavors of the nose transition into the palate perfectly. The lemon provides equal measures of tart and sweet. Refreshing and crisp, this could be a new porch pounder.

Southern Tier - Imperial Ginger Beer
That trendy cocktail in a copper cup, only more beer-y. This new Ginger Beer from Southern Tier take some cues from the Moscow Mule flavor profile. It pours a bright golden color with a moderate foamy white head. The ginger starts strong on the nose giving way to some subtle lime and biscuit traits. The sweet aromas and flavors come from a subtle agave addition. The mouthfeel is smooth and crisp. Despite the imperial nature of the beer, any heat is well masked from the warm ginger profile. The taste brings out more sweet nuances of the nose. Ginger and lime are both bolstered by this sweet approach.

New Belgium - Voodoo Ranger Juicy Mandarina IPA
The new Voodoo Ranger line from New Belgium isn’t afraid of trying something new. This IPA takes the citrus hop flavors to the next level. Juicy Mandarina pours with a thick haze and bright orange color. The nose is hop forward. Citrus aromas dominate the smell. A subtle spiced wheat flavor sits the background of every whiff. The palate is bitter like a standard IPA. However, grapefruit and citrus qualities help balance the bitter notes with a tropical sweetness. This Mandarina Bavaria hops play an important role in balancing the wheat and bitter flavors.

High Hops - Bad Mama Java Coffee Cream Ale
The blonde stout is a perfect style to showcase a coffee and vanilla addition. This new beer from High Hops ups the typical average ABV of a stout, and they also add some cream ale like twists to the profile. With a lighter amber color, and a creamy mouthfeel, this beer is a perfect cream ale / stout hybrid. Coffee and roasted malt come through the strongest. Sweet vanilla helps connect all the traits together and create a perfect intermingling of aromas and flavors. The mouthfeel is subtly crisp and the body never gets too syrupy. The palate balances sweet vanilla and coffee delivering the stout flavors in a deceptively creamy package.
