Napa Tasting May 22nd

2010 Chateau Guichot Bordeaux – In 2008, Karine and Sebastien Petit decided to acquire a 42 acre vineyard in the small village of Saint Antoine de Queyret. This property, Chateau Guichot, is dominated by a 17th century castle and is located in the center of the Entre Deux Mers region.
60% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 20% Cabernet Franc
A wonderful nose of jammy red currants and the mouth taste of blackberries, cassis and a little spice. Medium bodied with a satisfying finish that displays vanilla and a little nutmeg. Serve it with boneless pork strips, turkey burgers with a trace of Dijon mustard and crispy, fried mushrooms, and chicken parmesan.
