Our winemaker, David Noyes, has welcomed the challenge of establishing the stylistic direction of wines from Kunde Estate Winery. His background includes 10 years as Winemaker at Ridge Vineyards plus experience in several Bordeaux chateaux. After putting Kunde Estate on the map with his 1990 Chardonnay, he has gone on to distinguish himself with many awards and accolades for his Century Vines Zinfandel, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. His latest and greatest achievement is being honored with Wine Enthusiast's "Top 100 Wines of the Year" for his 1997 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon.

Vineyards first planted over 100 years ago. The Shaw Vineyard block of 120-year-old Zinfandel still produces fruit for Kunde’s Century Vines Zinfandel.
