Maria Karkazis is part of the Catena Task Force for Bodega Catena Zapata, for the Western Region of the USA. She is an expert educator for the winery focusing on their luxury wines that include the Alta, Zapata & Adrianna Single Vineyard series. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Maria Karkazis has been working in the wine industry for over ten years specializing in: Export Management, Business Development, Sales and Trade Marketing. She has lived and studied in Spain where she learned the Spanish language fluently and began working in the wine industry. She has had the great honor of working with some of the most prestigious portfolios, pioneering personalities, and family estates from Argentina, Spain, and Chile. She has traveled extensively in her wine career through North America and Europe and is fluent in English, Greek and Spanish.
