Intense black fruits and a firm structure give this complex wine an eye-opening sense of concentration and grip. Decant and drink now if you must but time will improve this full-bodied, generously oaked powerhouse. Best from 2027-2034.

The 2016 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast comes from a handful of sites on the Sonoma Coast, and it too is more ruby/plum colored. Ripe strawberries, dried flowers, sweet earth, and spice notes all emerge from the glass, and it's medium to full-bodied, has a silky, elegant texture, ripe tannins, and a great finish. As Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir goes, it's another rich, powerful wine from this estate. It should keep for 8-10 years or more.

Ripe, juicy and focused, with a core of griotte notes wrapped in licorice and fruitcake, all backed by black tea and sous-bois hints through the finish. On the toasty side, but the fruit keeps the upper hand and there's good energy from start to finish. Drink now through 2031. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 2,517 cases made.
