There's a lovely lift of passion fruit, guava, citrus and floral aromas to start, backed by a gunflint and briny note. The palate is a graceful balance of texture, acidity, flavor and length. The long, lifted acidity and chalky bite to the finish make one want to reach for another glass. This is classy and food-friendly.

New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc is a worldwide favorite. Marlborough, a district on the north end of New Zealand’s South Island, is synonymous with Sauvignon Blanc. That variety is, by far, the most planted grape in the nation. The Loveblock Sauvignon Blanc is a delicious example of Marlborough’s distinctive style. Crafted by legendary winemaker Kim Crawford, it shows a wonderful combination of peach, pink grapefruit and guava fruit scents followed by hints of lily and fresh herbs. The flavors of mouthwatering citrus, peach and tropical fruits are backed by subtle floral and herbal hints. The wine is refreshing, layered, richly textured and is a great match for most any seafood or poultry dish.

Offers lime, pear and lemon zest notes that are elegant, but not shy on power, with accents of matcha, lemon thyme and a touch of crunchy sea salt on the juicy finish. Drink now. 35,000 cases imported.

I like this wine. The 2022 Sauvignon Blanc is dusty and grey, with lanolin, beeswax, lemongrass, coriander, pink grapefruit and green apple skins. It's an interesting, floral, nuanced wine, and if I am not mistaken, retails for around $21. Whether that is AUD or NZD it isn't clear, but they both amount to about $13 or $14 USD. Excellent value for money, here. 13% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

The 2022 Sauvignon Blanc from Loveblock seeks to be a different take on the commercial Sauvignon Blancs, this being farmed organically before fermentation in a combination of amphorae, barrels and concrete eggs. The resulting style may have the inimitable acidity of Marlborough coursing through its veins, but it also has a leesy texture, curved edges and richness on the finish. Hailing from the Awatere Valley, there are plenty of green flavors in evidence - pea and capsicum - and a hint of flint. The 2022 is bright, zesty and alive.
