They just don't make brandy like they used to. But that's okay, because we do. We pack a whopping 26 pounds of fresh, local Palisade peaches in each bottle of our Peach Brandy. And since our orchard is a two-minute forklift ride away, we have access to peaches that are so ripe, they can't be sold to the market because they'd never make the trip. For us, the hardest part of getting all the peaches into the still is not eating them on the trip over. And if we may divulge a little secret, we do sometimes take a few peaches home with us. Because the only thing that makes a better home for peaches than brandy is on a front porch rocking chair.
