Casa Silva Los Lingues Vineyard Carmenere 2015
James SucklingPretty aromas of blackberries and flowers with hints of spices. Stones. Full-bodied, firm and silky. Beautiful finish. Drink now or hold.
Wine SpectatorPolished, with concentrated flavors of dark plum, kirsch and dried red raspberry that are swathed in rich mocha notes. The spicy finish is long and rich-tasting. Drink now through 2020. 7,000 cases made.
Wine AdvocateA wine that keeps changing its name slightly, from Reserva to Vineyard, it seems to be settled at 2015 Gran Terroir Los Lingues Carmenere. Whatever name you might see on the label of the different vintages, this is always from the higher altitude Andes part of Colchagua. Fifteen percent of the wine was kept in stainless steel for one year while the rest was raised in oak barrels. It displays a sharp, herbal palate that makes it feel cool, backed up by some dusty tannins. It has aromas and flavors of blackberries, dark chocolate and green coffee.
All sizes are 750ml unless otherwise stated.
