The intensity of the small berries- and excellent juice-to-skin ratios- reminded us of the profundity of the Mariana Trench, the deepest part of the ocean, where our Leviathan is truly at home. Leagues above on the water's surface, we were able to work the lines, set the sails, and ultimately capture the potential of this epic vintage. The result of our enological voyage is a wine as American as baseball, and as Yogi Berra would have said, "It's like déjà vu all over again."
