Colour: Straw. Aromas: Developed aromas with creamy strawberry flavours. Delicate and slightly perfumed. Palate: Soft and full with fine biscuity yeast autolysis characters and a clean fresh finish. Suggested Food Matches: Champagne is best chilled to about 8°C and served in stemmed, fluted glasses. It makes a fine aperitif and will go well with any subtle flavoured food such as seafood, fish and light chicken entree. Champagne also goes well with salty foods, deep fried food, lightly spiced oriental foods, soups and vegetables. Strawberries are a fine compliment.
A creamy and fresh NV with lightly cooked apple, some brioche, lemon rind and a fresh finish. Drink now.
This bright and stylish Champagne is tightly knit and satiny in texture, with hints of smoke and pastry cream underscoring the apricot, lemon curd and pickled ginger flavors. Ends with a mouthwatering finish. Drink now through 2022
(made from roughly one-third each of chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier; LB112D32511): Light yellow. Toasty lees, poached pear and lemon rind on the pungent nose. Offers an array of sappy citrus and orchard fruit flavors and becomes spicier with air. The lemon and lees notes come back on the broad, clear finish.
Wine & Spirits
This wine's concentrated flavors focus on mineral richness rather than freshness, lemon pith rather than zest. Its green apple and pear fruit blends into the chalkiness, all of a piece. For wood-roasted oysters.
Distinctively Deutz in style with vinosity and verve, this is fresh, elegant and round with a precocious ripeness and good depth. The base is largely the 2015 vintage (50%) with additions from 2013 and 2014 reserve wines. As always, it's an equal blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay, sourced from premier cru and grand cru vineyards from the Marne area. Drinking Window 2019 - 2022
The elegance of this nonvintage cuvée sums up the style of the house, balancing acidity with a dosage that is just right. The white fruits and tangy edge are refreshing and intense. Drink the bottling now.
