A quantum is the smallest unit of energy achievable in science. The combination of these tiny particles results in a system of great expression and complexity. Similarly in wine, each grape varietal offers unique flavor and structure, and each vineyard contributes yet another unique expression of those characteristics. The blend of this wine shifts from vintage to vintage, driven by the evolving varietal expressions each year.
The 2015 Quantum blends classic Bordeaux varieties with a dollop of Petite Sirah for added depth and overall intensity. Dark red cherry, plum, chocolate, new leather, smoke, black pepper and grilled herbs all flesh out in the glass. Broad, ample and quite resonant, the 2015 packs a serious punch. The radiant personality of 2015 softens some of the youthful edges and also gives the wine notable richness. There is plenty to like.
A juicy and rich red with plum and berry character. Some spice and pepper undertones. Full-bodied, round and delicious. Slightly old-school but enjoyable. A little hot at the finish. Drink now.
Composed mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon (69%) with smaller portions of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petite Sirah, Petit Verdot and Malbec, the 2015 Red Blend Quantum sports a deep garnet-purple color and nose of baked plums, blackberry preserves and dried mulberries with hints of fertile loam, dried Mediterranean herbs, cedar and Marmite toast. Full-bodied, rich and packed with expressive blackberry preserves and savory flavors, it has a chewy backbone and the earthiness lingers well into the finish.
All sizes are 750ml unless otherwise stated.
