Lake And Vine Cellars Sauvignon Blanc 2015
Winemaker Comments: Produced from 40 year old vines grown in the volcanic soils of southern Lake County’s benchlands. It is a delicious benchmark varietal wine that is zesty, bright and perfectly balanced. The blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Musque gives this wine flavors of citrus and white peach along with very subtle tropical notes. The vibrant acidity of Lake and Vine Sauvignon Blanc really matches up well with many types of cuisine from sushi to shellfish to salads to mild cheeses.
From Lake County and just beautiful! Brilliant yellow and straw in color. Aromas of white peaches, Anjou pears, lemon, orange blossom with hints of wild flowers. Bright fresh topical fruits upfront balanced with lemon and lime. White peach, apricot and starfruit on the mid palate. Slight amounts of acidity keep this wine extremely refreshing and touches of wet stone and coriander undertones. Love this wine! Pair this with clam chowder, chicken salad with almonds, or a grilled Mahi Mahi with chutney and couscous.
