H. Blin Brut RoseThe robe is deep gold pink, scattered with thousand fine bubbles. The nose shows power and strength link with softness and lightness: notes of fresh red fruits (raspberry, strawberry) with some overtone of dried fruits (almond) and soft spicy cinnamon and vanilla, subtle print brought by the red wine. The predominantly chardonnay is confirmed in the finesse and accuracy of the aromas. The mouth, spicy and fruity notes mix with deeper aromas giving a vinous and structured character to the wine. A presence in the mouth is emphasized by an impression of softness and strength in a dynamic of freshness and liveliness. The texture marries into smooth dense velvet. The general impression remains a great delicacy of lightness and structure.
H. Blin Blanc de BlancsThe robe is golden yellow, light and lively. The nose immediately expresses fleeting notes of fermentation linked with strong aromas of wheat, of cereals linking with the terroir of the Marne Valley as well as the warm and gourmand vintage 2005. While warming up, aromas become refined around citrus notes, showing appearance of a sensual salty wake. The mouth, texture is tight. Its confirms the wine motion around air notes, both fresh and powerful, giving the impression of movement, a controlled fluidity, such as a silky velvet or a bed sheet of mixed linen and silk. A range between the dense and the light bringing a noble appearance. The mineral notes mix with notes of stone yellow fresh fruits and bring a consistency till the finale. Warm consistency of the wine is revealed through the nose. The mouth, fluid and fleshy, ample, shows a beautiful freshness bringing finesse and elegance in a sweet and sensual appearance. The crusty character of the wine is remarkable by a delicate effervescence with a balanced and well ripe material. The finale continues with an average persistence. Champagne Devaux Cuvée RoséThe addition of a small quantity of Pinot Noir vinified in red and rosé, before the fermentation called « prise de mousse » gives softness and roundness to this champagne. They offer this 100 percent meunier without dressing it up, allowing its rustic charms and beauty to show. And it’s easy to fall in love with this wine, drawn in by the springtime scent of flowers and strawberries, fresh and completely clean but for an extra layer of something a little sweaty and intriguing, a hint of darkness from the clay soils adding perspective to what is otherwise a bright and sunny Champagne. Aresti Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2016– Staff Comments; Another brilliant wine from the Curico Valley, in Chile. Full bodied and another Miss Sheila treasure! Essence of a caramel latte on the nose. Medium bodied with leathery notes, bay leaf, granite, crushed peppercorns and rhubarb jam. Spectacular! This would be perfect with a skirt steak salad, chile rellanos, or a seafood stew.
Jean-Noël Haton Brut Classic NVStaff Comments: The BEST Champagne I’ve had under $50. Absolutely gorgeous! 60% Pinot Meunier, 40% Pinot Noir. Pale yellow like straw. Aromas of lemon and green apples with hints of like zest. The bubbles are balanced with a creamy mouth feel. Very lively in the glass; lemon-lime zest, lychee nut, vanilla wafers with a touch of brioche. Dry, crisp, and magical.
