Staff Comments: From Bierzo, Spain and just fantastic! Deep colors of purple with violet reflections. Aromas of Blackberries, raspberries, touches of sweet spice and leather. Medium bodied, yet full of flavor. What a complex wine for the price! Dark fruits of blackberry, black plums, ripe red raspberries are balanced with white pepper, Madagascar vanilla and layers of earth and minerals. Balance is the name of the game here. Starts rather fruit forward but evolves almost instantly to a gripping amount of acidity, just before you think its too much the wine evolves again to a smooth vanilla and smokey finish. Great Wine to pair with Grilled flank steak.
