Jean-Noël Haton Brut Classic NV
Staff Comments: The BEST Champagne I’ve had under $50. Absolutely gorgeous! 60% Pinot Meunier, 40% Pinot Noir. Pale yellow like straw. Aromas of lemon and green apples with hints of like zest. The bubbles are balanced with a creamy mouth feel. Very lively in the glass; lemon-lime zest, lychee nut, vanilla wafers with a touch of brioche. Dry, crisp, and magical. Pair this with shrimp & Lime ceviche, bacon wrapped melon balls, a soft brie or with strawberry crepes.
Wine SpectatorA bright Champagne, with lively and layered flavors of poached pear, white cherry, pastry and dried apricot. Offers a lightly chalky finish. Drink now through 2017. 35,000 cases made.
Wine EnthusiastWith some good bottle age, this is a soft, biscuit- and almond-flavored wine. There is a crisp edge from the grapefruit flavor underneath, making this a Champagne that's full of character and ready to drink now.
