Barolo 'Serralunga' is the classic Barolo blended from all four of the Palladino Nebbiolo vineyards within the Serralunga commune. This is an extraordinary wine, rich, complex and elegant. Dense, beefy tannins shoring up the cherry, strawberry and iron flavors, spice and earth elements emerge on the finish. Serving Suggestions: Roasted and braised meat, game, strong and mature cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 18° C.
Exotic spice, pipe tobacco, blue flower and camphor aromas shape the nose. On the full-bodied palate, notes of licorice and clove accent a core of dried cherry set against a backbone of firm, refined tannins. Drink 2022-2030.
Exuberant, dark and generous, the 2015 Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d'Alba reflects the characteristics of this warm vintage, further reinforced by the territory-specific power you get from this township. This wine is all about muscle and power, but the tannins are softly integrated and there are no hard edges here. Indeed, the wine is relatively accessible and straight-shooting from start to finish. This wine sees fruit sourced from five vineyard sites within Serralunga d'Alba: Parafada, Gabutti, San Bernardo, Serra and Ornato.
All sizes are 750ml unless otherwise stated.
