Barolo 'Serralunga' is the classic Barolo blended from all four of the Palladino Nebbiolo vineyards within the Serralunga commune. This is an extraordinary wine, rich, complex and elegant. Dense, beefy tannins shoring up the cherry, strawberry and iron flavors, spice and earth elements emerge on the finish.
Serving Suggestions: Roasted and braised meat, game, strong and mature cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 18° C.

"Fragrant purple flower, sandalwood and new leather aromas shape the nose along with a whiff of camphor. Full-bodied and concentrated, the enveloping palate also shows finesse, featuring dried cherry, licorice and tobacco alongside a backbone of close-grained, crushed velvet tannins. Drink 2025–2030.

The Palladino 2019 Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d'Alba is a richly textured and open-knit Nebbiolo. The priority here shifts to brawn, mouthfeel and muscle, and the bouquet is rather dark and one-dimensional as a result, with ample blackberry and spice. The feeling I get from this Barolo is that it seeks to explore the power of Serralunga d'Alba. It is less interested in the nuances of Nebbiolo. In other words, it's a wine of place and less of grape.
