This Dolcetto is as traditional as they come, opening with aromas of sour plum, tart cherry and raspberry that then give way to bay leaf, black tea and hints of chalk. Fine and persistent tannins give the wine a taut structure but the playfulness of the fruit is always front and center on the palate and the more savory notes play their supporting roles perfectly. Delish.
