Lemelson Thea's Selection Pinot Noir 2015
|Region||United States, Oregon, Willamette Valley|
James SucklingThere is a wealth of dried lavender on the nose of this pinot noir as well as herbs, vanilla and red plums. The palate is nicely fresh but with plenty of red apple fruit, grainy tannins and a fruity, chewy finish. Drink in 2020.
Wine SpectatorExpressive black cherry and forest floor aromas open to refined and balanced dark raspberry, bitter chocolate and spice flavors that finish with minerally tannins. Drink now through 2023.
Wine AdvocatePale to medium ruby in color, the 2015 Pinot Noir Thea's Selection is scented of crushed black cherries, blackberries and blueberries with notes of cardamom, autumn leaves and black licorice. Medium-bodied, it tends toward black fruits in the mouth with nuances of forest floor, mushroom and spice, framed by firm, grainy tannins and just enough acidity to carry the finish.
