The blend of the 2016 Three Gardens SMG is 50% Shiraz, 28% Mataro and 22% Grenache. As usual, it's a fruit-forward, berry-laden effort, with hints of strawberries, raspberries and blackberries and a plump, medium to full-bodied feel in the mouth, followed by a supple, silky finish. It should drink well for at least the next 5 years.

A blend of 50% Shiraz, 28% Mataro and 22% Grenache, this medium- to full-bodied wine offers lifted aromas of ripe cranberry, blueberry and peppery herbal notes, with some oak and a streak of graphite. The palate, however, isn't on quite the same level. The oak gets clunky and a little flabby, but there's also a pleasing silky texture, juicy fruit and dusty tannins.
All sizes are 750ml unless otherwise stated.
