Champagne Geoffroy is one of the very rare Houses that makes its rosé Champagne by "leaching" during maceration of Pinot Noir. After a few hours in contact with the skin of the grape, the juice acquires a superb natural colour, becoming intoxicated with subtle yet deep red fruit aromas. Pairing: This Rosé champagne will harmonize perfectly with noble seafood, such as pan-fried scallops or the finesse of a lobster or crawfish. Back on land a lightly roasted duck breast with some peaches will be perfect. A peach soup accompanied by a few strawberries with a flute of rosé Champagne will leave the eye and the palate with an unforgettable memory.

Wine SpectatorVibrant acidity frames flavors of steeped white peach, raspberry, candied orange zest and smoke in this rich, expressive rosé. Well-balanced and lively, with a mouthwatering, spiced finish. Disgorged July 2015. Drink now through 2019. 100 cases imported.

Wine AdvocateThe NV Brut Premier Cru Rose de Saignee is 100% Pinot Noir, all from the 2009 harvest. Kirsch, sweet red cherries, crushed flowers, mint and spices all waft from the glass. This is a pretty delicate, ethereal style of Rose considering the year and the saignee style, but the wine's balance is quite attractive. I imagine the Rose de Saignee will offer its finest drinking sooner rather than later. Disgorgement date: June 2012. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2015.

Wine EnthusiastThis full, rich style of rosé gets its color from grape skins, which provides a touch of tannin as well as strawberry flavor and attractive acidity. It's definitely for food.
