This is ripe and pedigreed but irritable from disgorgement; the tertiary notes are sound, and the classic aromas come on - all it needs is time. Wait till Fall and then pop a really good BdB that tastes like it sunk some subterranean depth-probe into the terroir.

Wine AdvocateThe NV Brut Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru reveals tons of finesse and elegance. With air the wine gains focus and clarity as rich, tropical Chardonnay notes emerge with notable eloquence. This is an impeccably balanced, sublime Blanc de Blancs from Marc Hebrart. The Chardonnay is sourced predominantly from Chouilly and Oiry (93%), with the rest coming from Mareuil-sur-Ay. Disgorged: June 11, 2008. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2016.
Wine SpectatorThe firm, steely structure gives this a slight austerity, but the lemon, apple and mineral flavors are attractive. Ideal as an aperitif, or with a delicate fish such as sole. Drink now through 2012.
All sizes are 750ml unless otherwise stated.
