The nose is reserved before aeration, but already offers a glimpse of a very fresh wine. On aeration, the Sauvignon aromas emerge first. They are classic with a hint of exoticism. Then come more flowery notes of Sémillon. The oak is very well-integrated.

On the palate, the attack offers volume without being excessive, and reveals a pleasant, tight structure. This is an R that will be remembered: simultaneously lively and delicate, with superb length!”

As I poured this wine into the glass it shimmered like the sun reflecting through blades of dried wheat. Aromas of citrus, lemon zest and notes of white flower. Just a hint of the grassy characteristics of Sauvignon Blanc come through. That first sip is bright and tart with touches of summer fruit with Anjou pear, apricot and a little honeysuckle from the Semillon. The mid palate evolves into a wine with a pleasant mouth feel and a roundness. Moving into fall this is a perfect white to pair with more seasonal dishes like Ravioli Al’ Uovu or butternut squash bisque.
