Vieux Chateau des Rocs Cuvee Tradition 2016
|Region||France, Bordeaux, Lussac-St-Emilion|
|Brand||Vieux Chateau des Rocs|
Staff Comments: A rustic old world blend of Cab Franc and Merlot. Hints of dried almonds and cranberries show through. Medium bodied and terribly underpriced! Soft tannins are complimented by all spice, sage, brambles, red currants and mulberries. Pair this with spicy sausage and red peppers or smoked salmon on toast points.
Richly endowed, this wine has weight and dense layers of black fruits. Partial wood aging has calmed the tannins after four years and allowed the fruit to come through. This ripe wine will be delicious from late 2020.
All sizes are 750ml unless otherwise stated.
