I had heard a lot of good things about this brewery before they started distributing to Colorado, but had never tried any of their beers. Now that they’re here, and I’ve tried quite a few of them, I’m glad to have them on our shelves! This beer pours a very dark brown with a dense, mocha colored head. The nose is fairly bold with aromas of peanut butter, chocolate and roasted malts. There is also some light cinnamon and hints of peppers with a slight pepper burn. The body is medium heavy with a medium light carbonation giving it a silky smooth consistency. The palate mirrors the nose in flavors and balance. The peanut butter and chocolate follow through on the finish along with that light pepper heat giving the beer a nice little kick. If you’re looking for something new and good to try, any of their beers will be excellent options! Review by Dan Chacon
