Strong flavors of caramel toffee and vanilla bean dance around the front of the palate in this intensely built, well-structured wine from the great mountain site. Compact tannins and well-integrated oak contribute additionally bold flavor and texture, with a finishing touch of sage and iron. Enjoy best 2029-2039.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Stagecoach Vineyard is also outstanding, with bright blue fruits, plums, chocolate, and some classic mountain minerality all showing on the nose. Uber-ripe, opulent, and full-bodied, it needs a touch more freshness and vibrancy, but it has solid tannins as well as mid-palate depth, and I wouldn't be surprised to see this show even better with 3-5 years of bottle age.

Dark, winey and loamy, with a brooding edge to the mix of baker's chocolate, steeped black currant and bitter plum notes. Shows smoldering tobacco and espresso crema on the broad-shouldered finish. For fans of the power style. Best from 2024 through 2032. 150 cases made.
