This light and eminently refreshing lager is a pale straw color. A honey-sweet malt backdrop highlights floral scents from the traditional Saaz hops. Virtually no bitterness is wrought from the hops during brewing, but they leave a slightly spicy flavor and a hint of lemon zest. Both the yeast and the hops produce what our team termed a "European finish," but happily minus the skunkiness we often associate with imported European lagers that don't weather transport well - Silver Lion is fresh & delicious. The logo pays homage to Bohemia (with its double-tailed silver lion crest), where this style of beer was first brewed.
