Based on about 70% Auxerrois and 30% Pinot Blanc from purchased grapes from all over Alsace and fermented in stainless steel, Trimbach's 2022 Pinot Blanc shows perfectly ripe and elegant fruit on the intensely aromatic yet also coolish nose. Lush and lively on the palate, this wine has a ripe and intense fruit core and is kept in tension by ripe, typical Alsatian acidity. The finish is quite intense and stimulating grippy, which makes it an easy drinking but serious wine for many occasions. 200,000 bottles produced. 13% stated alcohol. Screw-cap closure. The 2022 Pinot Blanc is a blend of 70% Auxerrois and 30% Pinot Blanc and is made from both estate and bought fruit, including from 70+-year-old Pinot Blanc from the grand cru Altenberg de Bergheim that helps express freshness. The nose is bright and alive with juicy, freshly cut green pear. The palate is crunchy but full of fruit in a slender package, with just a touch of pepper on the finish. (Bone-Dry)
