An intense vermilion red with a slight crimson tint. The nose opens on aromas of ripe fruit such as Burlat cherry. Airing brings black fruit notes to the fore, especially blackberry, Burlat cherry and bilberry, along with a touch of mild spice. A rich and smooth attack which expresses all the fruit on the nose leads to a full mid-palate with hints of cinnamon and a round, powerful finish on substantial and very well-rounded tannins. Pair with filet of pork, duck breast, and mild cheeses.
