A cabernet that shows structure, yet at the same time it is savory and pure with currant, chocolate and walnut undertones. Juicy with lots of cassis, too. Full-bodied, chewy and savory. Dry. Delicious. Drink or hold.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Marques de Casa Concha also has a 12% dash of a mixture of other reds from Alto Maipo and was aged for 16 months in barrels and foudres. Garnet red in hue with a nose of spice, herbs, bay leaf and dark fruit, it's compact and juicy on the palate with precise, polished tannins before the pleasantly fruity finish.

I find the 2019 Marques de Casa Concha Cabernet Sauvignon to be quite subtle and elegant, with clear Maipo profile, a little minty and spicy. Like the majority of varietal wines, it also contains small amounts of other grapes, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Petit Verdot in this case. It's medium to full-bodied and reveals very good balance and freshness. 900,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2021.

Notes of eucalyptus and earthy plum are aromatic. Made with grapes sourced from Maipo Valley, this full-bodied red features a concentrated palate and usual layers of herbs, spices and cigar box. It's flavorful with hints of smoke lingering in the aftertaste.
