James SucklingDeep and dense yet agile and fine. Full body, blueberry and black currant character, and a seamless silky finish. Gorgeous pure cabernet sauvignon. Biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold
Wine EnthusiastDark spice, rubber, tree bark and herbal black-fruit aromas are congruent. This big tough tannic Cabernet is layered but hard as nails. Flavors of black fruits, chocolate, fig and dark spices finish with toughness and charred oak. Drink through 2024.
Wine SpectatorOffers mouthfilling richness, with sinewy and concentrated flavors of dried cherry, mint and raspberry, featuring green olive notes. Minerally finish. Drink now through 2018. 6,200 cases made. -KM
Wine AdvocateSomehow I found similar herbal aromas to the Carménère in the 2013 Cuvée Alexandre Cabernet Sauvignon; I guess it might have been the 2013 cold growing season. There is a roasted coffee and charred wood character in the nose intermixed with aromas of blackberries, cassis and mint. The palate is medium-bodied with abundant, fine-grained tannins and a slight bitterness in the finish. 252,240 bottles produced.
