Kenwood Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc 2016
The fruit sourced for this Sauvignon Blanc comes from vineyards located in the cooler appellations of Carneros and the Russian River Valley which bring grassy characteristics to the wine, as well as grapes from the warmer Sonoma Valley which impart melon and tropical fruit flavors. The result can be found in this complex and well-balanced wine. Rated 91 points Tasting Panel Silvery emerald straw color. Aromas and flavors of green pepper, candied grapefruit peels, and wheat grass with ginger with a bright, dry-yet-fruity light-to-medium body and an interesting, medium-long golden apple, spiced kiwi and melon, and creamy nougat finish with fine, chewy, fruit tannins and no oak. A vibrant, toothsome sauvignon blanc that hits all the right notes in a balanced even manner
