Tikal Amorio Malbec 2014 Bottle
Wine AdvocateThe blend of the 2014 AmorÃo is different, as it's mostly Malbec with some 15% Petit Verdot, going back to the original blend for this bottling, but also from their estate vineyards in Vista Flores on loamy-clay and sandy soils. It matured in oak barrels for 14 months. This is riper and also creamier, it feels rounder and with a lactic note. This is round and fleshy, tasty, with a soft texture, the Malbec clearly dominates the character of the blend. 42,000 bottles produced.
Wine SpectatorConcentrated dark cherry and blackberry flavors give this an inviting fruitiness, backed by firm acidity. Black licorice and spice notes show on the finish. Drink now through 2019. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 5,000 cases made.
All sizes are 750ml unless otherwise stated.
