Witness Tree Pinot Noir 2012
Wine SpectatorTautly focused, with black cherry and dried berry flavors on a lean frame, playing ripe fruit against smoky, toasty overtones on the sharp finish. Drink now through 2019. 2,186 cases made.
Wine AdvocateThe 2012 Pinot Noir Estate comes from 27-year-old vines cropped at 2.01 tons per acre and matured in French oak of which 20% (Alliers and Voges) is new. It has a restrained, floral bouquet with blueberry and blackberry fruit that are simple, but nicely defined. The palate is medium-bodied with soft tannins, plush in the mouth, but needing more complexity and harmony toward the finish that is slightly driven by the alcohol at the moment.
All sizes are 750ml unless otherwise stated.
