Wine EnthusiastThis wine is aged in American oak and blended with 12% Petite Sirah. Concentrated blackberry fruit rides a foundation of soft, silky and well-integrated succulence, with touches of leather saddle, black pepper, smoke and brick. While full bodied, it manages to drink light on its feet.
Wine AdvocateMedium garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Zinfandel Mother Clone has a nose of baked raspberries, rhubarb, plums and blueberry pie with baking spices and potpourri plus an earthy waft. The palate is full-bodied and earthy with chewy tannins and a good fruit core, finishing lively. 8,500 cases produced.
