The medium body and carbonation provide a good base for the flavors to shine. Up front brown sugar and caramel malt are dominant on the palate however. River North Barrel Conspiracy - Whiskey Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout 375mlSTAFF NOTES: This is a special collaboration project between River North and Argonaut. We provided an exclusive staff picked barrel of a very popular wheated bourbon to them that they in turn filled with Mr. Sandman and aged it for 8 months. It pours an opaque dark black color with a small mocha colored head. The nose is bold with aromas of dark chocolate, raisins and bourbon with some roasted malts layered behind. The body is pretty heavy with medium light carbonation and a smooth mouth feel. Big notes of dark chocolate and molasses dominate the palate intertwined with some roasted malt and coffee flavors providing the base. The finish is long and very whiskey heavy but not very boozy considering the ABV. Pick up some of this exclusive gem while it lasts!

STAFF NOTES: This beer pours a slightly cloudy golden orange color with a large foamy white head. Heavy resinous hops hit the nose up front transforming into a fruity orange and grapefruit character with light caramel malt sitting in the background. Typical to style, the body is medium heavy with medium carbonation. The palate is piney up front with notes of orange following. The malts have a more bready character on the palate and are just a touch sweet. The beer finishes fairly bitter and the hops definitely linger. 8.2% ABV 80 IBUs
Tommyknocker Ho, Ho Cocoa Cane Holiday Porter 6 pack 12 oz.STAFF NOTES: The beer pours a dark brownish black color with a small tan head. Big peppermint candy cane aromas fill the nose backed by some rich cocoa and light roasted malts. The body is medium heavy with light carbonation and a creamy mouth feel. The palate is also heavy with candy cane flavor without being overly sweet. The cocoa is a touch lighter on the palate than the nose but is still fairly prevalent while roasted malts provide some balance and base. The finish is long and minty cool making it pretty refreshing for being a heavier beer. This is Christmas in a can. 7% ABV, 18 IBUs

Aged on Red Zin Barrels, and intentionally lightly carbonated for a vinous presentation. Pair with roasted leg of Goat stuffed with a Swiss Chard and lime pickle. STAFF NOTES: This beer pours a cloudy dark ruby color with a small fizzy white head that disappears almost instantly. The nose is dominated with vinous red grape aromas and wine soaked oak with hints of molasses. Surprisingly the body is a medium weight but expectantly the carbonation is on the lighter side providing a silky consistency. The palate is also dominated by vinous red grapes. Oats and grains of paradise contrast the fruit nicely while finishing with some tannic oak character. The abv% is well masked for being so high. This is a very wine like beer. 15.6% ABV, 35 IBUs
