Family owned and locally operated for over 50 years, Argonaut is the largest liquor store in Denver. We stock 18,000+ types of liquor, beer and wine, including a huge array of Colorado craft beer and spirits.

Argonaut Wine and Liquor proudly boasts many industry awards, including: Best Liquor Store – Denver Westword, 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018; Market Watch of the Top Retailers in the nation; Beverage Dynamic Award recognizing and honoring excellence and creativity in beverage industry advertising, promotion, merchandising and packaging; and Top Wine Store, Zagat’s 2016, 2015.

Today, the Argonaut family numbers more than 100 employees and we are largest liquor store in Denver. Together, we are actively involved in the neighborhood, supporting numerous local charities and the Downtown Denver business community.

We serve on the board of Colfax Business Improvement District to promote and improve the Colfax Corridor for business and residents alike. We also are fully engaged in the "Keep Colorado Local" movement to preserve the small local business environment in the state.

Ours is the biggest neighborhood liquor store imaginable — over 40,000 square feet — yet we are one of the most environmentally conscious liquor stores in the country. Solar cells on our roof supply approximately 17% of our power needs, LED lighting in our cooler doors reduces heat and saves energy, and we recycle or reuse much of the cardboard used in the store.
