Top 10 Wines for Easter

2016 Chateau Finet Bordeaux Supérieur – Rated 90 points Wine Enthusiast. Ripe and balanced, this Yvon Mau wine is full of both tannins and great fruits. It is rich and powerful, the flavors generous and ripe. Blackberries dominate along with balanced acidity.

Was $28.99, now $13.99.

2017 Chateau Au Vignobles – Rated 91 points James Suckling - A soft, easy red with lovely berry and terracotta aromas and flavors. Medium body, round tannins and a delicious finish. Was $17.99, now $12.99.

2018 Pessimist Red – Rated 92 points Jeb Dunnuck - The Pessimist cuve by the Daou Brothers is always a good value for those who love opulent fruit, and the 2018 offers loads of sweet blue fruits, white chocolate, violets, and toasted spice aromas and flavors. Based on 62 Petite Sirah, 19 Zinfandel, and 17 Syrah, its full-bodied, decadent, and rich while staying light on its feet. Was $23.99, now $19.99.

Natale Verga Moscato d’Asti - Staff Comments: A beautiful and delicate non-sparkling Moscato from Italy! It’s a DOCG Moscato so it has pedigree and finesse. Honeysuckle, lavender and sweet pears on the nose. This is sweet but not syrupy; just decadent. Hibiscus, honeycomb, fragrant lilies and nectarines. Pair this with Marcona Almonds and baked Brie.

Was $16.99, now $8.99.

Maubet Gascon -Staff Comments: A rush of Fruit Leaps right out of the glass. Aromas of pineapple, melons, apricots with just a hint of lemon grass. Bright and extremely alive upfront. Cantaloupe and white peaches are countered with good acidity. Crisp, slightly dry finish complemented with notes of limestone. Unique and delicious. I would pair this with grilled MAI MAI with a lemon bur blanc. Was $16.99, now $6.66.

Paxis Red - This dark, structured wine, with its balanced blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz, is firm with tannins and dense berry fruits. Full in the mouth, it is a concentrated wine that brings out a strongly chalky texture. The wine is still moving towards a rich future.

Was $10.99, now $7.99.

Meridia Primativo - Staff Comments: An Italian Zinfandel that is perfect for every day! Soft and dry with cranberries and brambles filling your senses. Black currants, cassis, cocao, and white pepper. This is medium bodied Old World; once it opens, it just over delivers with a nice, walnut/berry finish.

Was $16.99, now $8.99.

Wolfberger Cremant d’Alsace Sparkling Brut – Rated 90 points Wine Enthusiast: There is a touch of apricot tart on the nose, with notes of juicy baked fruit and buttery crust. A tarter aspect comes from green apple. The palate is fresh and wraps the lively, cleanly delineated fruit into gentle pastry aromas. The body is elegant, the finish is dry and fresh and brings out more of that wonderful apple tartness. Was $21.99, now $15.99.

2019 Martin Codax, Rias Baixas DO (Spain) Albariño Rated 93 points Wine Review online.com: Picture sitting under a lemon tree in bloom by the sea and you’ll get a picture of what Albariño is all about, especially in its native home on Spain’s northwest coast. This bottle transports you to that place in direct fashion, with aromas of lemon and sea spray, which turn to mixed citrus and white peach on the palate, where a touch of salinity makes the fruit more lively than it would be otherwise. At seventeen bucks, it’s a budget vacation in your mind. A Platinum Award winner at the 2021 Monterey International Wine Competition. Was $14.99, now $12.99.

Soir de Paris Sparkling -Staff Comments: This is an AMAZING Blanc de Blanc from France! A full suite of white grapes - Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, and Ugni Blanc have contributed in their own unique way to this stylish blanc de blancs. This over delivers! Lime zest on the nose, with notes of lemon sorbet, gardenia, freshly picked honeysuckle, with a velvety, satin finish of lemon drops and brioche. Our new favorite! Soir de Paris means “an evening in Paris.”

Was $16.99, now $12.99.
