Many years and barrels later, we're still producing Bourbon with the same time-honored methods that Evan Williams did years ago. Evan Williams Black is 86 proof and aged far longer than we are required to by law. That proof and age leads to a Bourbon that we are proud of, made our way, and that is always rich, smooth, and full of character. Color: Medium amber. Nose: Light with deep vanilla and mint. Taste: Notes of oak, brown sugar and caramel. Finish: Medium to long.
Maker's Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon WhiskyWe believe Maker's Mark is the only bourbon distillery to use pure, iron-free limestone spring water exclusively, not city, well or river water. Our source is a 10-acre limestone spring-fed lake at the distillery. We are very choosy about selecting the grains that go into our whisky. First, we use yellow corn and red winter wheat from specially selected small farm cooperatives, all of which are located within the limestone geology near the distillery. This wheat gives our whisky its soft, mellow taste. And we only use naturally malted barley (that has no enzyme enhancing gibberellic acid).When our grain is delivered, we check it from top to bottom. If it does not meet our rigid standards the shipment is not accepted. And this really does happen from time to time. We are among the few remaining bourbon distillers that propagates its own yeast for fermentation with cultures that we can trace back to the pre-prohibition era. We also use the traditional sour mash method, similar to making sourdough bread, where we always leave over some culture from one batch to start another. Our rare cypress fermentation tanks are historically irreplaceable. Some of the planks are more than 100 years old. Cypress was chosen for fermentation before modern stainless steel was available because it didn't contribute iron or taste to the final product. While we don't believe that cypress affects the process in any way, we continue to use some of these fermenters to give our visitors a sense of how the process used to look. Maker's Mark is currently the only operating bourbon distillery to make whisky in batches of less than 19 barrels -- the traditional standard for small-batch whisky.

H. Blin Brut RoseThe robe is deep gold pink, scattered with thousand fine bubbles. The nose shows power and strength link with softness and lightness: notes of fresh red fruits (raspberry, strawberry) with some overtone of dried fruits (almond) and soft spicy cinnamon and vanilla, subtle print brought by the red wine. The predominantly chardonnay is confirmed in the finesse and accuracy of the aromas. The mouth, spicy and fruity notes mix with deeper aromas giving a vinous and structured character to the wine. A presence in the mouth is emphasized by an impression of softness and strength in a dynamic of freshness and liveliness. The texture marries into smooth dense velvet. H. Blin Blanc de BlancsThe robe is golden yellow, light and lively. The nose immediately expresses fleeting notes of fermentation linked with strong aromas of wheat, of cereals linking with the terroir of the Marne Valley as well as the warm and gourmand vintage 2005. While warming up, aromas become refined around citrus notes, showing appearance of a sensual salty wake. The mouth, texture is tight. Its confirms the wine motion around air notes, both fresh and powerful, giving the impression of movement, a controlled fluidity, such as a silky velvet or a bed sheet of mixed linen and silk. A range between the dense and the light bringing a noble appearance. The mineral notes mix with notes of stone yellow fresh fruits and bring a consistency till the finale.
