|Domaine des Cotes Blanches
Domaine des Cotes Blanches Sancerre from 2022 embodies a rich heritage dating back to the 1930s when Bernard and Pierre Millet laid its foundation. Over time, François and Monique, the second generation, expanded the estate to 21 hectares, fostering 15 hectares of Sauvignon and 6 hectares of Pinot Noir. With Nicolas, their son, infused with a fresh passion after his studies in Beaune, the estate gained renewed vigor.
Dedicated to preserving the land and environment, the family practices organic farming, allowing harvest dates to align with nature's rhythms rather than fixed calendars. In their winemaking, they employ gravity systems exclusively, eschewing pumps, while granting their wines a nurturing 6-8 weeks of rest in the bottle before release.
The name "Côtes Blanches" pays homage to the stony white soils gracing the slopes of Sancerre in France's heartland. This exquisite wine pairs seamlessly with hearty, oily fish and meaty dishes, delivering a taste that echoes their commitment to quality and nature's bounty.
A pale yellow gold color. Intense and complex. Mineral and light flint notes with ripe fruit aromas like plum, peach and citrus fruit. At first, the wine is supple and round with a nice mineral finish. Pairs well with light appetizers, grilled fish, seafood, poultry and goat cheese.
All sizes are 750ml unless otherwise stated.
