Luna Nuda Pinot Grigio 2017
|Region||Italy, Trentino-Alto Adige, Alto Adige|
The Tasting PanelOne of the prettiest examples of this variety, crafted by the fourth-genergation winemaking Giovanett family. Hand-picked and hand-sorted fruit. Meaning “naked moon” the winemaker believes in the effects of the full moon on his wine’s production. The nose is crisp and clean; a lemon slate from Alpine air. Asian pear and lean mineral notes interplay with vanilla pudding, white tea, and honeysuckle.
Wine EnthusiastThis simple wine has subdued aromas suggesting orchard fruit and pineapple. Reflecting the nose, the simple palate evokes green apple and white peach.
Wine SpectatorA modest white, with a smoky overtone and lean acidity framing hints of stone and citrus fruit. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 38,000 cases made.
All sizes are 750ml unless otherwise stated.
