Staff Comments: This is a wine to reckon with! A big blend of Grenache and Carignan that was aged in brandy oak barrels for 12 months. Aromas of BBQ Smoke, black currants and cassis fill your glass. This is dark, inky, and unctuous! Dark chocolate, cigar smoke, black raspberries and Luxardo Cherries. Full bodied and sinful! Pair this with steak au poivre, Spanish Paella, or a 7 layer chocolate torte. 

2016 Vintage Rated 92 points Wine Enthusiast. As you might expect from a wine labeled for its aging in brandy barrels, this is a bit lactic and heavy throughout. Aromas of licorice and aged cheese blend with minerally berry scents, while this blend of Garnacha and Carignan is stacked on the palate but not outright heavy. Blackberry, pepper, baking spice and vanilla flavors finish with power. Drink through 2027.
