I chose this wine for the pure fact that I get people asking me for a red Bordeaux that doesn’t break the bank. Something you can open up on a Tuesday night. This is such a great treat for under 20$. The Brehat has all the classic flavors of Bordeaux and is true to it’s region. Merlot dominates the blend and provides that ripe Blueberry, blackberry and plum notes. It has structure and balanced tannins! The first sip is very fruit forward, it awakens the senses. Medium Bodied with a hint of earthiness. This wine is a wonderful mid week treat and would go with a hamburger to a Venison steak and root Veggies.
