This is Fresca-like on the nose, with a burst of red citrus-which matches the golden burnt-orange color of the beer.. Part of a brewery series where fruit is added to traditional styles, this is a hefeweizen with blood orange, and the base style is not lost. While the clove tone is muted, this is forward in a banana flavor along with coconut and lime. The blood orange infusion adds a richness to the body, and coupled with a lower carbonation, it gives the whole beer a smoothie like impression.
