The 2021 Riesling Box Bar Vineyard comes in very dry (a gram of residual sugar and 7.4 of total acidity) and at 13.05% alcohol. Stern and a little tart, this has enough depth to counter some of the acidity. It avoids (sometimes just barely) being shrill. The good fruit shines through as it warms, and the aromatics up front are classic. This is still going to be a Riesling that is strictly for food, hard to drink on its own today. It is beautifully built, but it seems likely to be better in a couple of years. It needs to demonstrate it can age and develop a little. Today, it is impressive on many fronts, but it's not as much fun to drink as it might one day be. There were 420 cases produced.
