As the name suggests, there's a lot to look for and unravel in this beer. It's heartier than most in this category, with only a slight crispness and a pronounced sweetness. It shows slight hints of orange and earth to lift it up. A Foeder Schwarzbier aged on wood, there is a dry tea-like finish that creates a pleasing bitterness. With each new sip, the crispness of the lager refreshes the palate before leaving some burnt chocolate and dark roast coffee behind.
