This classic wine from the Valpolicella area is made from Corvina, Rondinella and Corvinone grapes. The shades of almond and violet are outstanding, with a structure that enables this wine to age for several years. The dark and dusty 2019 Valpolicella Superiore opens with notes of dried strawberries, sage and crushed stone. This is soft textured and perfumed with inner violet and lavender tones over a core of black currants, all lifted by cooling acidity. It tapers off lightly structured while leaving purple-tinged florals and a hint of bitter cocoa.
